Although yamaha psr's filter is thin, rendering of guitars, sax, woodwinds, and brass is excellent. I still rely on my yamaha PSR-s910 for those. if this is possible, i'd like to throw away the guitar, brass, and maybe sax of kronos to the trash. It has some seriously FAT sounding filters.ġ1.

You can expect kronos' successor to emerge for at least 2-3 years, while new motif series might be out this year, or next year.ġ0. 88 key version (as i owned) are surprisingly lighter than other workstation (motif and fantom), and stage pianos like roland RD series.Ĩ. If i recall right, akai is supported too. With sample streaming you can load korg's pcg as well as SF2. It's different if you're playing solo with it, which i never have).Ħ. That makes kronos (from my POV), the ultimate live board (but i'm playing with a band. I occasionally go live too, and i love my kronos! not only i can program the sounds to my liking, it also has Setlist and SST. Point of consideration= It has no piano roll.ĥ. With KARMA + 16 tracks seq, you can do that.

got it, but support on 64 bit is a bit haywire because of the crappy editor.Ĥ. You should try them both because piano sounds is a delicate one. Yamaha's are quite nice too, but true damper resonance samples only belong to kronos. well, AFAIK true damper resonance is only exist on kronos. BTW if you're still not interested, many great folks at korg forum (i'm a member there) will share those sounds for FREE!.Ģ. You wanted that kind of sounds, then you've got to be interested on synths. You want "innovative n new sounds,sci fi and fantasy kinds", thats possible with the 3 VA synth engine, 1 FM, and 1 weird string modeller, but the "not much interested in synths" part is confusing.
